Four thoughts raised by Charlotte's Web

>PREPARATION / RESOURCES

Many children will have recently been to see the film of Charlotte's Web at the cinema. It will be useful (although not essential) to have a copy of E B White's book Charlotte's Web to extend ideas by sharing passages of the story. It is worth visiting the website www.charlotteswebmovie.com particularly if you want to access some images to accompany the assembly or to drop into the PowerPoint presentation. Images are best accessed by visiting the website and following the links to 'gallery', 'downloads' or 'explore Zuckerman's barn'. Equally some clip art images, or photos, of personal or school visits to farms would be appropriate to illustrate the themes of each reflection.

4 PowerPoint presentations are provided to accompany the reflections:
Charlotte's Web. Thought 1
Charlotte's Web. Thought 2
Charlotte's Web. Thought 3
Charlotte's Web. Thought 4

>MUSIC

Songs for children to sing include:
'One more step along the road I go' (No.47)
'I will bring you the best gift I can offer' (No.59)
Both from The Complete Come and Praise, BBC Educational Publishing.

>PRAYER

Help me to be the best I can be,
As a person, a learner, a friend.
Thank you for caring enough about me,
For a friendship that will never end.
Thank you for all I am able to do,
Help me remember to share,
My talents, my time, my kindness, my love,
So others may know that I care.
Amen.
