‘READING THE RUNES – Religious Literacy for the 21st Century’
Lambeth Palace Library, Thursday 7th June, 6 – 9 pm
This year’s St Gabriel’s Symposium takes place in June at Lambeth Palace by kind permission of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The topic is very timely and our speakers have been chosen for their experience in engaging with the exceptional challenges that both religion and young people face today, especially in a world where tragic and disastrous clashes can occur that affect individuals, societies and cultures.
Speakers:
- Canon Dr Gavin Ashenden, Chaplain of Sussex University
- Dr Tina Beattie, Reader in Christian Studies at Roehampton University and writer
- Professor Keith Ward, previously Regius Professor of Divinity at Oxford
The event will be chaired by John Keast, consultant on Religious Education to the DfES and St Gabriel’s Trustee.
Seats are strictly limited but if you would like to apply for a ticket, please contact enquiries@culham.ac.uk
