VISITING A CHURCH IN THE MIND
This is a whole class activity.
N.B. A visualisation is provided on this site under ‘Church Visit: Preparing for the Visit’
- The children need to close their eyes and sit calmly.
- Ask them to imagine they are going to a church. Tell them that their mind is a bit like watching a movie / film.
- Ask them to picture the outside of the church in their mind and to take a picture / still of what they can see.
- The children can share their ‘stills’. The same could be done for the inside.
- Children could predict what might happen in their next ‘movie’.
