Using a Word Bank 1b

- Material from the visit could be used to set up a word bank during the follow-up activities.

The Information Around Us 1c

- This unit suggests interviewing and recording an adult. The local minister could be interviewed. The information can then be used for follow-up activities.

Labelling and Classifying 1d

- Religious artefacts could be used with gifted and talented pupils in this unit.
- This unit draws on the senses and experience.

Writing Stories 2a

- Generic activities can be linked to the visit, e.g. labelling, writing sentences, adding words to empty speech bubbles.

Finding Information 2c

- A CD Rom on Christianity or easy-to-use website about a local church could be used.

Questions and Answers 2e

- Children could raise questions about places of worship and make a pictogram to answer some of the questions.
